Meet your purrrrfect match! Blondie is a sweet almost 1 yr old boy who loves to pur, knead and give the people he trusts a nice head boop to show his affection. Him and his sister, midnight had a scary start to life being trapped at a young age and left in a room without much human interaction. Until they were brought under rescue and their journey with trust began. They have began to flourished in foster home. They now love being pet and playing to with toys and each other. They are not a bonded pair but if you would like to adopt them together their personalities compliment each other. Blondie is outgoing, curious, and ready to finally stop being moved around so he can continue to grow with a family of his own and show just how much love he has to give. Cat of the day is Midnight!
Are you looking for an independent queen? Midnight is your girl! She is almost 1 yr old and ready to find a warm place to land. After the chaos of being moved several times, midnight is happy to be in a foster home where shes opening up and learning to play. Trust is a big thing for her so she definitely needs a human family that will be patient and give her the time and space to open up to them. Once shes comfortable with you, she will pur and show you her belly for rubs. Shes a curious and playful girl when she thinks you arent looking and as her personality pokes through she has become a little talkative. She absolutely loves other cats and gets so excited when she hears a new friend. Email us at thebarkerrescueproject@gmail.com if she sounds like a good addition to your family! ... See MoreSee Less

Is anyone in the market for a 13 yr old senior kitty?
This is Tiger. He was surrendered to GCAC back a few months ago and has been in foster home since then where he has been scared and visibly depressed losing his family hes known for so long. He was making some progress purring and bonding with the foster, but this past week Tiger had to move to a different home because the foster was going to be traveling and unable to continue fostering him. Due to her personal cat having FeLV, the new person is unable to bring Tiger into the common area home. Despite spending intentional time with him every day holding him and petting him, we fear until hes in a home with new forever people he will continue to only make minimal progress on his emotional state and fear of these new environments. He eats and uses his litter box when foster is not around, but otherwise he lays on his blanket or in his bed with his head down like this. Hes very sweet and docile.
Its heartbreaking. He needs a loving home that will give him the time and space to love and trust again as he mourns the loss of the only home and human he ever knew.
Please be kind because his owner surrendered him due to poor health and moving into a facility that wouldnt allow Tiger to come with. Its an all around sad story.
If you or anyone you know is interested in giving this sweet guy a chance or even a foster to adopt situation, please let us know. And please share his story so we can get him a new forever family to mend his broken heart ❤️🩹 ... See MoreSee Less

Cat of the day is Midnight!
Midnight is a 3-year-old sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He first showed up at our home in October as a community cat looking for food and a safe place to rest. After being safely trapped and going through the TNR (trap-neuter-return) process, he was combo tested and cleared to come inside — and that’s when we discovered the real Midnight.
Once indoors, Midnight quickly revealed that he’s actually a total lovebug. He’s the kind of cat who flops over dramatically for attention and will happily drool while soaking up pets. When he gets excited to see you, his tail starts shaking like a little rattle, and he’ll give gentle love nibbles to show affection.
Midnight has gone from outdoor survivor to certified cuddle expert. All he needs now is a forever home where he can keep flopping, loving, and being someone’s loyal little shadow.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion with a heartwarming rescue story, Midnight might just be your perfect match. 🐾
